PPD SESSION Thursday 21st May

The times for these sessions are up on the notice board. Please make sure you check your time and attend the correct time slot as it won't be possible to attend a session later in the day.

The focus will be on what you are starting to put together for your presentation and digital portfolio not your current brief, the crit for this work will be tomorrow.

MONDAY 18th MAY

Student lead crits with a focus on the realisation of the resolution (see Google Calendar).

BOARD PRESENTATIONS 14th MAY

The times for the presentations are up on the notice boards. Your time will either be 9.30am or 10.00am and you will present your board(s) along with a one min pitch.

PPD SESSION Friday 8th May

Five examples of contemporary graphic design relating to your Speaking From Experience brief that deals with audience interaction. This could be from the physical  interaction with the piece or the environment that it is placed within makes you interact with it.

I hope you are enjoying the Easter break, I just wanted to remind you of the workshop opening times over the next couple of weeks. 

Week commencing 13th April: Check with individual workshops during this week, although Computer Resources are open as usual. 

Week commencing 20th April: Business as usual in all workshops.

VISUAL LANGUAGE...A REMINDER

Presentation crits will take place tomorrow on work developed since last presentations.

VISUAL LANGUAGE 24th FEB.

You need to attend your session with all the work you have produced to date for the What Is A Line? brief. You are expected to have developed a line of enquiry in response to the feedback you were given in progress crits prior to reading week, and if appropriate, to have revised you statement of intent that you produced for that session.

Studio based independent study/sign tutorials will take place during this session.

FRIDAY 13th FEB MODULE DEADLINE INFO.

Studio two and three are available for you to work in this morning and you will submit your module into studio one between 12pm-1pm. 

The studio briefing will take place in studio one at 1pm, all must attend.

FINAL CRITS: THURSDAY 12th FEB

The final crits will run throughout the day on Thursday from 9.30am.

STUDENT ADVICE TUTORIALS

Student advice tutorials will take place on Friday 30th of Jan and Monday 2nd Feb. The tutorials will last approx 5mins and will be based in the Student Advice area near reception. The times are on the noticeboard.

SATURDAY OPENING TIMES

The college will now be open every Saturday during term time from 10am to 4pm. You will have access to both studios and workshops (check individual workshops for their staffing and opening times).

PROGRESS CRITS

Progress crits 29-01-09, for details of times and groups please check the notice board. 

You must bring the body of work that you have produced to date relating to the book you are currently working on.

PPD SESSIONS: BLOG UPDATE

As discussed at Friday's PPD session could you make sure you sign up to follow the level one blog, currently sixteen have done this...with four days until the next session I feel positive all of you will have by this Friday.

Remember to post any outstanding evaluations and statement of intents as well as any images of your work and related professional practice. Anyone failing to do so will be asked to leave the session. 

CHANGE OF VENUE: This week's sessions will take place in studio one.

NEW LIBRARY OPENING TIMES

From tomorrow (17th January) the Blenheim Walk Library will be open every Saturday between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
All library resources including the college shop will be available on these days.

COLLEGE OPEN THIS SATURDAY

The studios and workshops will be open this Saturday (17th Jan) from 10am to 4pm.
